Terms Used:

“Roughs” refer to a quickly drawn sketch. They help set composition, expression, and pose. They have very little detail, but are quite helpful to choose a starting ground for a piece!

“Revisions” are changes requested on a piece.

“Major revisions” refer to changing positions, moving an arm, changing clothing, and can only be used during the sketch stages.

“Minor revisions” are adjusting smaller details - like a marking - and it is still recommended to ask for them at the sketch stage if possible.

Note on Revisions:

When requesting a revision, it’s recommended to find all the changes one needs at that time, to conserve remaining revisions provided. Further roughs and revisions can be purchased.
